Blog #4 - Character Research

In my movie intro I want to have one main character and a few side characters. My main character is Colia and my film name is "Breathe, Feel, Touch".  I plan on having a mother figure that Colia leans on. Typically, in a film involving someone going through something hard there is at least one character that is there for them no matter what. This could be their mom, dad, sister, best-friend, etc. An example i am going to use for my point is the characters in "Teen Wolf", Scott and Stiles.

Scott and Stiles are best friends. They've went through a lot of experiences together. A lot of challenging and life threatening things. They would do anything for each other. Well, in the tv series Season 3, Stiles shows symptoms of his moms diagnoses that she died from. Stiles' mom passed away due to Frontotemporal Dementia. Everyone was worried that Stiles might pass like his mom did. Scott went to all of Stiles MRI's and made sure to help Stiles through what was happening. He stayed right by Stiles' side. Stiles knew he could rely on Scott to watch out for him.

^^This is how I plan on reflecting Colias relationship with who she turns to. Towards the end of the 2 minute film I want Colia to finally turn to someone. This character I plan on being her mom but that could change.  Colia might turn to a trusted friend or adult, other than her mom. I plan on having Colia, Colia's mom, a therapist (briefly), a possible friend, and the 'robbers'. Colia's mom's name will be Gloria. Colia will dress trendy but comfortable. This being things such as leggings, jeans, long sleeve shirts, and Birkenstocks. As for the robbers, they probably won't be seen, just heard. They will realize someone is inside and they will laugh and run away.
