Blog #42 - Unused Scene

 Before the therapy scene I intended to have a scene where Colia walks past her front door from her room and she is scared. The point of this was to show Colias PTSD that she is experiencing from her front room. Showing that Colia is associating her front room and front door with her event that happened. The shot was filmed with Colia walking out of her room. Then, she turns to the right and sees the door. She does a little peak and her expression changes. She begins to feel scared, then she runs to the kitchen past the door. 

There were a couple issues with this scene. For starters, Colia is wearing the same clothes as she was in my ending scene. This would give away that the scenes were filmed on the same day. However, they are supposed to be different days. It would have looked unrealistic if she was wearing the same exact outift from a few days before. This was a big deal only because Colias experience is supposed to be longer. It isn't meant to come across as if this all happened in the span of a week. 

I have Briana dressing differently each scene for that reason. I want to make it as if this whole experience is within the span of about a month. Making it look like it took Colia a while to finally say something. The other issue was of the same thing. For the therapy scene, Briana was wearing a different outift then this unused scene. Now, this scene was supposed to be a pre-therapy scene. If Colia isn't wearing the same thing it isn't showing that she is about to go to therapy. It makes it seem as if it was a different day. This works though, because I can add more to Oras scene due to deleting this scene.
