Blog #33 - Bathroom Scene

My film is going to be based around a more fast pace. This is to show the anxiousness and panic. If the film was slower it wouldn't give off the vibe of panic. So, I have alot of film and scenes to make this faster pace. Due to the fast pace and scenes I added a scene of just panic. This is the bathroom scene. This scene is followed right after the homework scene. Colia was doing homework and started to feel panic. Colia then quickly goes to the bathroom to try and calm down.

Although, Colia still hasn't told anyone. So, she doesn't know how to calm down. This is shown in this scene. Once Colia is in the bathroom she starts pacing. Pacing is very common within anxiety and PTSD. When experiencing anxiety and PTSD the body is in constant flight mode. Making way for a constantly pounding heart. The fast heartpace leads to pacing. This commonly to follow the heartbeat and try to tire out the body. After pacing, Colia rests on the bathroom counter. She does this with her hands on her head. Followed by heavy breathing. I did this to show a straight scene of PTSD and anxiety that Colia is suffering from.
