Blog #22 - Behind the Scenes!

 When we started filming it was about 4:30-5 pm. We filmed till about 6pm. During these clips I asked Briana, Noah, Ethan to take behind the scenes pictures. The opening scene was a struggle at first because Noah and Ethan kept laughing. We were patient with them and I told then what to do, where to stand, and what to say. I added a prop into the film. This is a FAKE gun shown by the picture of noah. The gun is a realistic looking one, however, it is a nerf gun. It is being used in the film for the purpose of scaring Colia and showing the audience that they have a weapon that they are prepared to use. 

In these photos its clear that we are all getting along and having fun. I also added a few new dialouge lines and camera angles that I felt neccesary. These will be described in the next blog. For this is showing our first time on set and all working together. I knew that they would all be very easy to direct around. They are very helpful and I am so excited to see them put my vision to life. 

The new prop is ethans as he said he had one, however, I couldnt find any ski masks. Due to this they compromised and put the hoodies from their jackets on over their head. This was to make them look suspicicous and look like they are doing somenthing wrong. I had a ski mask from halloween which was going to be part of their outifts and another prop. Once we started filming its noticable that the ski mask would have been too much, it also wouldn't have gone with my script. This because I wanted them to see the ring doorbell and notice that they are being filmed. If they had ski masks on they wouldn't have cared because the camera can't see their face. So, it worked out because their faces were exposed, making the dialouge match up and make more sense to why they fled and didn't continue to go into Colias house.
