Blog #12 - Setting Research
For my movie, I plan on having multiple different settings for differents parts of filming. For the intro of the movie where Colia's tragic event happens is going to be at my house. The dangerous men will be trying to get through my front door. Colia will take place in her/ my room. There will be clips of my hallway along with some footage of my kitchen, living room, and front room. The other rooms mentioned would be to show Colia walking out of her room and entering the door area. The door is in the front room. The front room will be where Colia freaks out during the evenet, along with where she will have an anxiety attack. I plan to have the two scenes seperate. Her anxiety attack will take place later after the incident, on a different day to show that this is where her anxiety sparked from.
Another location for Colia will be my moms office. My mom is a therapist which is perfect for my movie. Along with it making the mise-en-scène more realistic. It will make for a perfect enviornment for Colia. Allowing for me to show her in an actual therapy area, making the mood more convincing. This set up will include Colia in therapy, however, not interested. This being the scene I described in blog post #6 about the "Peaky Blinders" that relates to Thomas Shelby.
For other scenes in my film including Colias panick attack and Colia acting irrationally, will take place at my house as well. I plan to have a scene invloving Colia in the bathroom. Now, this will be either when she was little showing her crying about death late at night. Or it will be where Colia will have her "No, no, no, no" / "Stop, stop, stop" scene. The descripion of this scene was described in Blog post #5 with Stiles Stiliski's character reference from "Teen Wolf".
