Blog #1 - Intro

Hello, my name is Mia Robinson and this is my first blog post. I have a few inspirations for my project along with a couple of ideas. I have a specific theme in mind which is going to be personal strength. I want my project to hold the power of showing how hard it is to live with bad anxiety. So, it's going to be more on the personal side. It's going to be rough to get it how I want it, but I look forward to trying and getting it as close as I can. This final project is going to be the first two minutes so it isn't going to have her journey or how she fixes her issue, however its going to show what she went through and leave the question open on what she did to get better. I plan on having a main character to focus on and a few friends and family but they will be minor to the big picture.

Filming may be a bit difficult only because the genre is more mysterious and emotional rather than uplifting and drama based. However, I have an actor in mind for being my main character. She's very easy to work with along with being very cooperative. Her name is Briana Welch, she's also in media studies, we've been friends since we were 7 to 8 years old. She knows every little detail about me. I know she would act my idea out perfectly. This because she has acted for me previously. I'm in the process of forming a name for my character. I have a few options being "Malia", "Zoe", and "Colia". I will most likely go with Colia.

One inspiration for this project is a song called "Can't Catch Me Now" by Olivia Rodrigo. She made this song dedicated to the new The Hunger Games movie "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes". She made it for the movie with the intention of showing Lucy Grays perspective of her situation with Coriolanus Snow. Basically saying that her situation with Snow was dangerous and she wanted to set herself free from it. So she did. The song explains how Snow can't catch her now and that she is free of him. This is inspirational for my project as it represents my main focus, personal strength and self growth. That no matter what you're going through you can escape from it. The beauty of this song is that it doesn't have to be a person you're freeing yourself from. It can be anything. Which is why i'm relating this into my project of freeing from anxiety.

This photo is from the music video of Olivia Rodrigos song "Can't Catch Me Now". It shows her freely running. Showing that she has allowed herself to escape from him.
